Grad school applications typically have 5-7 required documents and multiple deadlines so it is easy to overlook submitting a document or deadline. This could be a disaster if it was a critical component or inflexible deadlines.
I’ve been thinking about this challenge lately and wonder how candidates manage this paperwork. How effective it would be to use an application portfolio manager document? This could be a basic spreadsheet that tracks all the application documents and deadlines you are working with.
Place the credential down the left and the school or program across the top with two columns for each one. In one column, put in the deadline or your goal submission time. In the second column, keep track of the dates you actually submitted a credential to the school.
How do you keep track of the many documents and deadlines during the application season? Please leave a comment below so we see different approaches and can start a dialogue.
